 VAR()

 DESCRIPTION

 VAR() determines the data type, length, and value or any variable
 specified.

 SYNTAX

 VAR(varname)

 PARAMETERS

 varname (C/N/D/L/A/M) is the name of the variable to check.  The
 variable or field can be any data type.  Specify the variable name
 without quotes (.i.e. NAME, AMOUNT, etc.).

 RETURNS

 VAR() returns the data type, length, and value all as a character
 string.
