The first phase when developing an application is the definition of the
Data Dictionary: creation of files, relative fields, associated
   indexes and relations.

To correctly set up an application's Dictionary, it is necessary to
consider what data will be managed so that it can be organised in an
optimal way, making the data easy to be retrieved and avoiding redundant
information. From the main menu, press the Dictionary button. You will
now be in the definition environment of the entities needed to create the
   database.

The information contained in the Data Dictionary are relative to:

     . Files

     . Fields

     . Indexes

     . Symbols

     . Relations between files

     . Variables

     . User Defined Functions

For each entity managed in the dictionary, a Definition Frame is made
available for the setting and the modification of its properties. The
Definition Frames can not only be accessed from within the Dictionary, but
from within any other environment in which the entity is being used. It is
possible to directly define the context Help, the Technical Manual and the
User Manual for the application by simply inserting text comments in the
   Notes.

The Dictionary environment is divided into three different frames
(fig. 2-1). The main Frame, shown in the upper left part of the screen,
contains a list of the Files. The name and the main properties relative to
each of the files defined are shown. The frame next to the file frame
shows the defined fields for the highlighted file, while the frame shown
in the lower part of the screen contains a list of all the indexes set for
the same file. Moving the cursor on another file will update the
information regarding the Fields and Indexes within the other frames. In
the Service-User environment, an option can be set for hiding or
   displaying these additional 2 frames.

The following is a list of the different types of entities managed within
   the Dictionary environment.
