The Symbols Dictionary contains a list of all the unique names of all
fields used in the files that make up the project's database. It also
contains the list of all variables and user defined functions.

When the file structure is defined, dBsee references each field in the
file in the symbols table. With this type of organisation, the consistency
of the data structure is assured since an eventual modification of the
attributes of a symbol will automatically be reflected in all the files
that use that symbol within their own file structure.

   --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fields with the same name in different files have the same attributes.
Therefore, it is not possible that the field "Code", present with the same
name in two different files, is defined, for example, in one file as a
"character" field and in another as a "numerical" field or that it is
   defined with different lengths.
