X-Hacker.org- dBsee 4.6 - The Library - Norton Guide http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]

dBsee offers the possibility of protecting (part of) the entire
application from unauthorised users. The application can be protected by
verifying the security level of the operator. dBsee allows for the
definition of up to 99 security levels. The default passwords range from
ISA001 to ISA099, representing, in fact, 99 security levels.

In detail, by adding particular instructions inside the injection points,
it is possible to protect the activation of menu labels, pushbuttons and
keys, limit the access to fields, etc.

The programmer must add the interventions manually, giving all the freedom
for creating fine-tuned password protection. In this way, the execution of
data-entries and reports can also be limited.

The Password management parameter, set in the Projects - Subprojects
   - Properties environment, allows for specifying that password management
is required. This system will be activated at the beginning of the
   application.
