X-Hacker.org- dBsee 4.6 - The Library - Norton Guide http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]

The dBUp module can be activated from any directory on disk.

It is possible to activate the dBUp procedure in two different ways.

The first consists in providing the name of the source to process to dBUp:

     . dBUp <program name> Enter

Example:

   Call to dBup

     C:\APPL\SOURCE> DBUP Cli010.prg Enter

When passing a parameter to dBUp, the source having the same name as the
   specificed source is reread.

The second mode consists in running the dBUp module directly, without
   passing it any parameter.

     . dBUp Enter

Executed with this mode, dBUp searches for all the sources existing in the
directory SOURCE of the project currently selected and presents the list
to the programmer. In this list, the sources that, in respect to their
date and hour stamp, are more recent are already marked (visible from the
active check box) and placed at the top.

At this level, it is possible to mark the other sources or to remove from
the list those sources that, for specific reasons, do not need to be read
immediately but can be read at a later date. By pressing the Reverse
button, dBUp will read the marked sources.

Active keys

   Shift-F1 List of available keys

   Ctrl-Space Tag/Untag element

   Ctrl-/ Select all

   Ctrl-\ Unselect all

While dBUp executes the Reverse Engineering, it displays a screen with two
frames containing both the source being scanned (in the upper part) and
the part of code being extracted (in the bottom part).

The Projects menu option allows to open a new project, to select from
   the list shown.

The list of projects that appear in the window shown in the figure are
those defined within the configuration file DBSEE.INI. This file can
be found in the directory DBSEE4\BIN, within the [Project] section by
indicating the name of the project and the path.

Example:

     ...
     [project]
     Example 1 Waybill,D:\DBSEE4\WAYBILL
     Example 2 TownHall,D:\DBSEE4\TOWNHALL
     Course,C:\DBSEE4\COURSE

By pressing the Open button all the source files that make up the
   selected application will be displayed.
