1. Important notes
Some additional features have been added since the first
printing of the manual. This Norton Guides database should
      always have the latest information.

      A. Use FLIPPER with Summer '87 and Clipper 5

FLIPPER can work with both Clipper 5 and Summer '87. The
FLIP6.LIB library is used with both Clipper's. The SUMMER87.LIB
should be linked with Summer '87 Clipper. The CLIP50.LIB or
CLIP52.LIB should be linked with Clipper 5.

      B. Several batch files have been included in the \EXAMPLES
           subdirectory:

            If you use .RTlink
RT50.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
               RTCLIP50.LNK Link response file

            If you use Plink86
C87.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
               FLIP87.LNK Link response file

            If you use Blinker
               Clipper 5
B60.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
                  BLINK601.LNK Link response file (standard)
BLINK602.LNK Link response file (with _FLPCURSOR())
               Summer '87:"
B87.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
                  BLINK875.LNK Link response file

            If you use Warplink
WL50.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
               WARP50.LNK Link response file

If you use MS link.exe 3.64 or later
               Clipper 5
L60.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
                  L60.LNK Link response file
               Summer '87
L87.BAT Batch file for compiling and linking
                  L87.LNK Link response file

         C. Technical Support
There are several ways to get technical support for a
            problem you are having:

The technical support department has a direct line:

                       503-567-8836

If it is busy, then all support people are busy - you do
not wait or spend money on a phone call. If it rings more
than 15 times, then they may be out of the office and you
            should try again later.

                  Office Hours: 9:00 - 12:00
                                   LUNCH
                                   1:00 - 4:00

The bulletin board always has the latest FLIPPER software
with any bugs fixed and enhancements. It will also contain
new functions we would like you to test. You must first
sign on with a user ID and your SERIAL NUMBER. Then, we
will check if you are registered and give you live time
(authorization) and a password to the FLIPPER6 library
area where the files are stored. The second time you call
you will be able to download the latest FLIPPER software.

              503-567-0363 2400 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop, No parity
              503-567-8788 9600 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop, No parity

The BBS.DOC located in your \FLIPPER directory talks about
            how to use the BBS.

               1. You can leave electronic mail for the SYSOP asking a
                  question.

               2. Upload a problem section of code to the PROBLEMS
file area. Make sure the code will compile and link,
and your name and phone number is in the top of the
                  PRG."

A disk with the latest BBS software can be sent to you for
$25 if you would rather not use the BBS, or do not own a
            modem.
