X-Hacker.org- FUNCky - Norton Guide http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]

Overview: dMENU is a utility that allows you to
access files on your hard disk by means
of easy to use point and shoot menus.
Any number of menus can be specified,
and menus can be nested to any level
with the only limitation being the
amount of available ram. Each menu can
                    have ten selections.

Purpose: dMENU is intended to help users,
                    consultants, MIS departments and large
                    corporations manage personal computers.
On a single machine, dMENU can put a
series of complex DOS commands into a
single keystroke without the need for
batch files. On multiple machines dMENU
can be used to create a common interface
                    throughout the entire office. On
networks, dMENU can be used to execute
complex log on sequences without have to
                    execute batch files.

dMENU can also be used to lessen the
difficulties when training new users. By
shielding the new user from DOS, the
                    consultant or MIS department can
                    concentrate on teaching the application
to the user. DOS can be taught later at
a more convenient time (if at all).
