   Index Applications Incorporated was put into operation with the      
   intention to build useful programs based on the Fast Text Search     
   Library. The first such product, UltraSearch, was released in the    
   Summer of 1988. This was followed, in 1989, by the introduction of   
   Fast Text Search for Clipper. This product was built in response to  
   developers who were exposed to UltraSearch and wanted to have similar
   functionality that was closely intergrated into their dBASE systems. 
   We chose to start with a package directed at Clipper because of its  
   Extend System, its text handling functions and its network of User   
   Groups. Fast Text Search for Clipper has proven to be very robust and
   user response has been extremely encouraging.                        
                                                                        
   Future plans include moving The Fast Text Search Library to other    
   development environments and increasing its functionality and        
   performance. We have a programming/support staff of two (2) with     
   additional individuals available when necessary.
