   [ NGX v1.0 - Norton Guide reader for EGA/VGA ]

Using NGX requires an IBM PC or true compatible (8086 or later), PC-DOS
3.10 or later, and one or more NG database files (*.NG).

NGX is for DOS, and for text video modes only.

There is no reason why NGX shouldn't run on a mono system (MDA), an MCGA
or another video adapter. Be warned, though, that some older CGAs will
   produce 'screen snow'.

Installed as a resident program, NGX will typically use 36 kb of memory
(conventional or upper memory). Depending on configuration, you can bring
it below 24 kb, and beyond 48 kb.

Presenting an NG database reader in 1994 is hardly a novelty, but this
reader does have some features not found in the original, including ex-
tensive video support, global text search, improved access to databases
and database entries, and a high degree of configurability.
