        NGX never beeps at you. Some programs beep or grunt or even play a
        fanfare if you press a key they don't expect (e.g. NGX's hotkey).
        In some cases the beeping will continue until NGX is popped down
        and control is returned to the program you were in when NGX was in-
        voked.

        To alleviate the effects of this bad habit, put

           SilenceBeeps = enabled

        in the .ini file.

        If this doesn't help, the best thing is to define NGX's hotkey as
        one the program recognizes and you don't use very often.
