  What is a TAG?:

  A tag is a single index within a compound index (.CDX/.NSX).  Apart from
  being within a .CDX/.NSX file, a tag is identical to an individual index
  file.

  NOTE:  Under Clipper 5.2, the term "tag" includes single index files
         (such as IDX and NTX files) as well as the "tags" within a
         compound index (such as .CDX/.NSX files).
