READVAR()

Syntax:     READVAR()

Purpose: To determine the current GET/MENU variable.

Returns:    A character string.

            READVAR() returns the name (in upper case) of the current
            GET/MENU variable. If the wait state is ACCEPT, INPUT,
            WAIT, DBEDIT(), ACHOICE(), or MEMOEDIT(), READVAR() returns
            a null string ("").

Usage: READVAR() is used primarily for debugging purposes or in
            programs using SET KEY.

Library:    CLIPPER.LIB

----------------------------------- Example --------------------------------

   In the following example, pressing F2 executes Getname and the name
   of the current GET variable displays on line 23:

   a = SPACE(10)
   b = SPACE(20)

   SET KEY -1 TO Getname && Set F2 to Getname.

   @ 5, 5 SAY "A:" GET a
   @ 6, 5 SAY "B:" GET b
   READ

   RETURN

   PROCEDURE Getname

   @ 23,00
   @ 23,00 SAY "Getfield = " + READVAR()
   INKEY(0)
