YEAR()


Syntax:     YEAR(<expD>)

Purpose:    To convert a date value to a number representing the year.

Argument:   <expD> is a date value to convert.

Returns:    An integer numeric value.

            YEAR() returns the year of the specified date value
            including the century digits.

Usage:      YEAR() is useful when you want to perform date arithmetic.
