 &W      Write settings to NOVRAM.

 When you execute &W, most important settings are written to nonvolatile
 memory.  These become the default settings when the modem is powered up
 or reset.  This is convenient when you want the modem always to use
 certain settings, but can cause trouble if you write settings that make
 it hard for other programs to use the modem.

 A small delay may be necessary after sending this command.
