        IgnoreInstalledEMM=<Boolean>

   Default: no
   Purpose: If enabled, this setting allows Windows to start
            in 386 enhanced mode even when there is an
            unknown expanded memory manager (EMM) running.
            This can cause the system to fail if memory-
            resident software was using EMM before Windows
            started. Enable this setting only if no such
            software is installed or you are sure it will not
            be active when you are running Windows. This
            setting applies only to expanded memory managers
            servicing physical EMS hardware; Windows will not
            disable unrecognized 80386 expanded memory
            emulators.
   To change: Use Notepad to edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
