 How to Use This Guide

     This guide is organized into the following chapters:

     1. Introduction

     2. Getting Started

        Describes system requirements, as well as installing and getting
        started with CA-Clipper/ExoSpace.

     3. CA-Clipper/ExoSpace Commands

        Details the CA-Clipper/ExoSpace command line syntax and contains a
        command reference.  Before using CA-Clipper/ExoSpace, you may wish to
        browse through this chapter to familiarize yourself with the commands
        available.

     4. Other Languages

        Covers linking your CA-Clipper/ExoSpace applications with program
        modules written in other languages, such as Microsoft C, Microsoft
        Assembler, and Borland.

     5. Protected Mode

        Explores technical issues related to C and Assembler programming in
        protected mode.  It is intended for programmers who wish to write or
        modify their own C and Assembler modules for use with
        CA-Clipper/ExoSpace.  You may also wish to read this chapter just to
        find out more about protected mode.

     6. Troubleshooting

        Covers troubleshooting your CA-Clipper/ExoSpace applications.  Please
        read and follow the guidelines in this chapter before calling
        Technical Support.  Topics discussed include protection faults,
        software compatibility, memory shortages, and problems with DOS
        Protected-Mode Interface (DPMI).
