Reporting a GPF to technical support
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When reporting a GPF dump to technical support, please provide the following
information, as support on GPF dumps cannot be provided without all the
 following:

. The GPF dump itself (see the previous sections for how to save it to
   a file).

. Details of the environment in which the program is running, e.g. a
DOS box of Windows 95 OEM 2 on a Pentium 200MHz MICRON Millenia.

. The portions of the `Publics by Value' and `Detailed segment map'
sections of the MAP file for where the GPF is occurring, as described in
   the previous sections.

. A description of what the program is doing or attempting to do when
the error occurs, and at what point in the program. This should include
the lines of source code surrounding the line on which the GPF occurs.

. An indication of whether the same problem happens every time that
point in the program is reached, or erratically throughout the program.

. The results of linking and running a small test program (ie print
"Hello world") in the same environment.

. The results of linking and running a small test program containing
the source code line(s) causing the problem in the same environment.
