X-Hacker.org- dBsee 4.6 - The Library - Norton Guide http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]

   dBsee offers the possibility of partially or globally protecting the
   application thus preventing unauthorised users from accessing the data.
   All operations performed in the applications are binded to the security
   level of the user. dBsee provides up to 99 security levels.

   For instance, the menu labels, the use of pushbuttons and function keys,
   the access to specific fields on the data entry forms can be protected
   using the password system.

   To activate the password system, the Password option in the
   Projects/Subprojects/Properties environment must be set to Yes.

Attention - The programmer must manually implement all the necessary
   code in the different points in the program where protection or
   conditional processing is to occur.

   For additional information regarding the use of passwords, please read the
   Revising the application chapter.
