Every printer is initialised by a specific set of control codes. Most
printers, though, emulate the working of other printers, and can thus be
initialised and treated exactly as the emulated printer.

For instance, initialising a dot-matrix printer, the control code can
correspond to the ASCII characters 27 and 71 (Esc and G). A Laser printer
   probably needs other codes.

Besides the standard printer drivers supplied with the application, it is
possible to add, or eventually modify, printer drivers to be used.

The printer settings are set in the DBSTART.INI file, in a section called
   [Printer].

The selection of the printer is done within the printer dialog box. By
pressing the Printers button, the system displays all the printer
   available in the [Printer] section.

In the dBsee package there is a file, called PRNDEF.TXT (directory
\DBSEE4\BIN), which contains the control codes for over 300 printers.

For using the codes of the new printer, it is sufficient to copy the block
with the new printer into the [printer] section of the DBSTART.INI file,
and then specifying, in the defaultprinter parameter, the ID of the
   new printer.
