X-Hacker.org- Paradox Engine 3.0 for C - syntax: pxtblcreatemode(int mode) http://www.X-Hacker.org [<<Previous Entry] [^^Up^^] [Next Entry>>] [Menu] [About The Guide]
Syntax: PXTblCreateMode(int mode)

Args: mode - PARADOX35 tables are created in v3.5 format
PARADOX40, tables are created in 4.0 format (default)

Returns: PXSUCCESS or error number

Synopsis: Must be called before PXTblCreate. This sets (or resets) the
default creation mode for all subsequent PXTblCreate calls. It
has no effect on existing tables.

Version 4.0 tables can use blobs, composite and case-insensitive
indices. The Engine can access and create both types of tables,
however, the only real reason to use 3.5 format tables is if the
table must be accessed with Engine version 2.0 or Paradox 3.5 (or
earlier).

Note that if you attempt to create a v3.5 table that specifies
blob fields, it will be created in v4.0 mode regardless of this
setting. No warning or error is generated!
