   tp_parity() - get or set parity setting

   cOldParity := tp_parity(nPort, [cNewParity])

   nPort       Serial port number.
   cNewParity  New parity setting.

   Returns     Original parity setting.

   Gets or sets the parity setting for a serial port. Parity settings
   may be:

       "N" No parity.
       "E" Even parity.
       "O" Odd parity.
       "M" Mark parity.
       "S" Space parity.

   Most microcomputers use no parity (with eight data bits per
   character), though even parity (with seven data bits) is common on
   mainframes and UNIX systems.

   if cNewParity is omitted, tp_parity() just returns the current
   setting. If cNewParity is specified, it changes the setting and
   returns the original value.

   Example:

       tp_parity(1, "E")
